Her third album, Blood to Bone, was released in the US on August 28, 2015, a few months after coming out in her native New Zealand. (The album got an official US release in April 2013.) For her 2011 release Gravel and Wine, Wigmore beefed up her sound with heavy doses of rock, blues, and even jump swing. That said, Gravel & Wine, which was originally released in New Zealand in 2011, is a huge-sounding dance-pop album full of songs geared for both the dancefloor and the radio stations that drive people to go there, all big, stomping drums and kinetic high vocals about men who dont measure up, jealous girls, and the trashy, dangerous side of love and other hazards. ![]() A year later, her debut album Holy Smoke arrived and parked several hits in the New Zealand music charts. The song would later appear on her 2008 debut EP ( coincidentally titled Extended Play). Upon returning home, she honored her dad with the song "Hallelujah," which won the 2004 International Songwriting Competition - the first time an unsigned talent had won.
